RFID keyboard output

I have a 1024_0 (USB only) RFID reader. The Control Panel has a checkbox, "Keyboard Output Enabled", which lets me read tags as keystrokes when checked. That only works when the channel is open in the Control Panel.

Is there a way to set keyboard output enabled in the firmware, so it will always be on?

That feature is not part of the device's firmware or even our API. That's just a convenience added in the code of the control panel and has nothing to do with the Phidget itself.
